** Guinness **

Ken and Tammy adopted Guinness (on the left) from BrightStar to add to their family. Django was already part of their family but they felt they wanted another GSD. When they saw Guinness they knew he was the one. Since they have had Guinness and Django they now have a baby girl named Daveigh. They love BrightStar and thank them for the lovely addition to their family.

** Rajah **

Bruno and his family adopted Rajah who is a Malanois Shepherd. He came all the way up to see him just to check him out. When he met Rajah he fell in love. Rajah took right to the family and especially the baby. Rajah was being looked at to do Search and Rescue for cadavers. He passed the test to do Search & Rescue (but we never knew he would have the talent he did!) He was taken out for his first search and not only did he find and notify Bruno of the first body but he found a second and the kicker is - that this was all done at night with no training. What a natural!

** Heidi**

Heidi got adopted to a wonderful family in Penfield, NY. She is the only 4 legged companion and is the only one to receive all of the family's attention! Heidi is quite an active little girl. She keeps herself entertained now that she has a whole house to herself to romp and play. Heidi's older 2 legged sibling may eventually take Heidi to work with her one day - a Nursing Home! (What a great place to give back the love! ) Heidi will soon be attending some obedience training classes. What a gem this little girl is!

Update from 2005: "Heidi has completed and graduated with her Level 1 Obedience! She has her certificate framed and it is located just above her food dishes!"
Congratulations to Heidi! You guys have done a wonderful job with this beauty!!
Update 2006: Heidi has completed and graduated with her Level 2 Obedience! How awesome!

** Matz (alias Max)**

Max was renamed. His official name is "T/Sgt. R.W. Matzell" we call him "Matz". We have honored now retired T/Sgt. Dick Matzell by naming "Max" after Dick.

Matz graduated from the first session of our K9 school in October. His handler is James (Jim) Hunt. Jim and Matz are assigned in your neck of the woods. They reside and patrol Wyoming County, and are the K9 team for our Region 9, covering the Western most counties of NY. Matz is trained in basic obedience, handler protection, venison detection and spent shell casing detection. He and Jim had a very busy first fall, making an usually high number of cases and working a variety of complaints. Jim and Matz are a great team, and we're proud to have them.

Thanks again BrightStar for your help and generosity.

** Cinder**

Cinder is doing just great here with us. Whenever I take her for a walk. people always stop me to tell me what a beautiful dog she is. Just recently we moved down south to a house that has a huge fenced in back yard which she just loves. She has become best friends with my brothers dog as he brings his dog over and they play all day. God Bless, and keep up the good work.

** Bosco & Kayla**

Boscoe (left) and Kayla (right) are the proud "owners" of Melanie Hoover. Kayla and Boscoe are both members of Sunshine Friends, Inc. (Syracuse) as pet therapy dogs. They visit local nursing homes once a month. Both have earned their CGC certificates and Kayla hopes to be in agility when she leaves "puppyhood". People are just amazed that I can walk the dogs together (they "have" 10 lbs on me together!) and comment on how well behaved and beautiful they are together. And they are just about Siamese twins - you can't break them apart! Thanks so much for dedication to saving two dogs that I can't believe someone would give up to the streets! They certainly are loving life now!
