** Dena **

Dena was adopted by a loving family in Phelps, NY. Dena is an only dog although they do have a cat which is slowly accepting denna. The little girl's name is hannah and she is 10 yrs old....she loves to make kerchiefs for denna to wear and is teaching her to jump through a hula hoop. denna has become barry's velcro dog...watches at the door when he leaves for work to make sure he's not coming back and then runs up to hannah's room to wake her up with kisses. they said that denna has settled quickly into their home and hearts and is now in her FOREVER home.

** Roxie **

Roxie was adopted by a local business owner, dog fancier and trainer in the Rochester area. Roxie was imported by a breeder for her kennel but she wasn't a fit with what the breeder wanted. Kevin, who adopted Roxie, owns his own business and trains dogs to work in narcotics detection and protection. Kelly is a 6 month old black Malinois who is living with Kevin to be trained as a detection dog. She and Roxie became instant friends and look amazingly alike! It's a testament to Kevin's training ability that they are lying and sitting so well together.

** Mora **

Mora was adopted by a team of Physicians, in the Rochester, NY area. Mora is a GA girl who found herself on death row. We will never forgot the photo to the left, of Mora behind shelter's bars....just begging to be saved. After BrightStar saw that photo and learned that a fellow white gsd rescue was too full to get her "in" and the photo was really a death row picture of her!!!! we had to take her in!

Mora will be an only child and is enjoying her new family.....no more bars for this pretty girl~!

** Annabelle **

Annabelle was adopted by a family in Williamsville, NY. Her new father is a Policeman and mom's a teacher. Annabelle was a KY girl, who spend her first 5 months in a outside pen with little human companionship ;perhaps an occasionally nice kid we suspect; for she loves kids. She is an only child ; but the family hoping to add more companions in the future! 2 and 4 legged type! For now, Annabelle who so needed a family of her own, will enjoy being the pampered spoil only child she always wished she could be! With a indoor bed and a family to call her own, this little KY girl has finally found HOME SWEET HOME.

** Brando **

Brando found a home with a loving family in Endicott, N.Y. His new mom and dad fell in love with him at first sight. He was another unwanted stray on death row from the Memphis shelter when he was saved by BrightStar! Brando is still a baby at 9 months old but his sweet face , loving heart and easy going personality were impossible to resist! When he turns 1 his new mom is going to begin training with Brando to be a therapy dog so he can bring a smile to so many more people!

Right now Brando has 2 feline friends, Bud and Sheba, that he hops around and plays with, but hopefully he will be getting a new four legged canine brother or sister soon! Brando will be spending his days with his forever family going on hikes, playing at the beach, and enjoying long walks in the woods! His new mom and dad both have offices out of their home so Brando will be truly spoiled with love and kisses the rest of his life!

** Heidi **

Heidi was found in a local shelter and only had a couple of days left before being put to sleep. Knowing that such an amazing girl could be so close to death is beyond our comprehension. In fact, everywhere her foster took her, comments were made about what an outstanding example of a German Shepherd Dog Heidi was. It was thought that she might be the very special dog we were looking for a family in Grand Island, NY. Her intelligence, sensitivity, and eagerness to please were remarkable, and sure enough when they met, it was love at first sight for this family! Heidi now enjoys daily car rides, long walks, a ton of attention and affection, and even has two boxer "nieces" to play with. We are all so glad that she found her forever home!

**Daisy** (aka Blaine)

Daisy (the darker dog) was adopted back in December 2003. From Daisy's Mom: "She is a little girl who is full of energy and loves to keep her big brother Duke (lighter dog on bottom) on his toes! At night she crawls into the lap of her mother or father and loves to cuddle. She is learning how to swim and is becoming a frisbee-catching expert! In March 2005 she became a big sister to baby Alexis. She is a little Mother's helper and doesn't let the baby out of her sight. Well I could not have asked for anything more.
Thank you BrightStar for this special dog!"
