**Elsa**

Elsa found her forever home on March 18, 2006 with her 6 other furry siblings!

**Ben & Jive**

Jive (aka 'Bee Jee' [R]) has joined her forever family in Webster NY. She shares her home with her BrightStar brother Benjamin (pictured [L])and two kitty playmates. Her family has been working hard on getting this once shy girl to become a well adjusted member of society. Jive has gone from being a stray to spending her days chasing birds, hording squeaky toys, nibbling on Ben's legs and washing the cats. Jive lets us know how happy she is each day with her joyful 'Roo Roo Roo'!
**Macy**

Macy (known as "Aila") has found her forever home and her forever Mom in February of 2006!

From Macy's New Mom: "Everything is going absolutely wonderful.. I am so happy, I couldn't ask for a better dog. She is really getting furry. I try to make sure she gets plenty of exercise and the muscles in her legs are getting huge. She loves the snow, dives right into piles head first and wants me to make mini snowballs to catch and eat. She is constantly making me laugh and is always there when I need a hug. I just couldn't imagine my life without her. Thank you so much for such a loving friend"... Donna

From these pictures, the combination of human to canine just looks like a perfect match!

**Cita & Yukon**

Cita was one of the pure bred Sable German Shepherd puppies who was saved from a Kentucky "back yard" breeder. The breeder actually "docked" their tails... so its about 3/4 of its normal length. We don't have a clue why anyone would do this to a German Shepherd puppy. Doesn't she look HAPPY in this picture?! What a great family photo!!

New Addition: Meet Yukon a male White German Shepherd. He joins Cita his 4 legged sister and two - 2 legged siblings in Henrietta, NY. Cita is all grown up now and has the following certfications: CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and TDI (Therapy Dogs International)! - How awesome is that? Congrations Cita!
The parents of these 2 gorgeous beauties are instrumental volunteers with the BrightStar Organzation - not only do they coordinate the Rochester Events that BrightStar participates in they do lots more!!!
**Tia**

Tia is our boomerang dog, who after being adopted out and returned several times finally found her way into our home and hearts. It was a slow start, and it took three long weeks before she would even allow my fiance into the house without a growl or a snarl. But, now they are best buds! Nothing is better than a loyal friend to lick your face, follow you around the house, carry cute stuffed animals in her mouth, or share the bed (okay--take over the bed) I couldn't imagine life without my Miss Tia Maria.

**Hope**

"I was looking through my pictures and I got a laugh out of this one. Not that it is the best picture of our little sweetie, but look at the toys in the background! Oh no we don't spoil her...! She is such a delight. I have a constant companion and friend. She always make me laugh. She comes up to us every morning and pulls the pillows out from our heads. She pulls all the rugs around still and loves to place everything in our way. The fun begins when we start to chase her. She has pulled toilet paper around the house so many times that we have had to take it off the holders and put it on the counters. She doesn't know that it is there, yet. Her vocabulary is growing. She is understanding much more of what we are saying. She knows some of her toys by name, and she is doing some tricks. She is so much fun. She still doesn't catch things thrown at her. Of course Roy loves to flip her little treats at her and watch them bounce off her forehead. She doesn't seem to mind though.
Well I wanted to say hi. Let you know that Hope is doing great. Her birthday is coming up, and we will have a little party for her. I think that her Grammies will come over, and we may have a Frosty Paw for her.
She will think that is special. Take care and give everyone a smooch for us.
Hugs and sloppy kisses from Hope".
Betty.
**Sydney**

Sydney (aka Gando - a Glory pup) is on the right. What a beautiful family picture!
**Talon**

Talon and I have been together now for 2-1/2 months. He has definitely settled in and realized that he's at his forever home. Although some people are intimidated by his looks, everyone says that he is beautiful. He's also the type of dog that you can completely trust when a little kid comes running up to him. Talon is a handful at times, like the energizer bunny, but he is absolutely worth it. I thought I'd share this picture because I like to brag about him. Thanks to BrightStar's volunteers for the amazing job they do.

**Renata**

We are blessed to have Renata as a member of our family. She has been through so much and BrightStar brought her to us. She is very gentle and enjoys cuddling with us. She loves to lay by the front door and look outside. Renata loves to go on walks and is learning to play ball. Her mom takes her running with her; she is a great running partner. Renata is recovering from heart worm treatment and is doing great. Renata has been a part of our family for almost a year and we have love her from the minute we saw her and are very happy to be her forever home.

**Kelly**

Kelly is pictured with her Mom at a June 2006 BrightStar Event. Kelly was one of our momma dogs when she came to us. Kelly couldn't look any happier - she looks GREAT!
**Shaddow**

Adopting Shaddow in October 2005 has been a great experience! We had lost our 15 yr old female German Shepherd Dog 2 months earlier, and our 5 yr old male seemed to feel the loss as much as we did. The opportunity to find Tyson a companion dog and rescue a German Shepherd in the process was win-win for all of us.

Shaddow is a total character and keeps us amused 24/7. She is the happiest dog we have ever met. Her non-stop energy and burning desire to play ball or Frisbee (no matter what time of day!!!) continually amazes us. If there’s nobody around to play, she’ll keep herself entertained. Her best trick so far is having one ball in her mouth while pushing one or two other balls around with her nose – all at the same time. It’s quite the show!

Shaddow’s forever home is in Rochester, NY. She is pictured here on her perch at the top of the stairs, keeping watch – No doorbell needed at our house anymore! Also appearing here with Tyson, taking a break from their constant horsing around out in the backyard!

Our sincere thanks to BrightStar - from Yvonne, Tom, Tyson and Shaddow. We’re grateful for all you do to help the dogs!
