Thunder found her forever home on July 2, 2005 with Mrs. Jean Burnside. Thunder could not look any happier! We are all so happy for Thunder and for Jean!

Jesse found his forever home with his new Dad and Cuddles - his new sister! Jesse & Cuddles definitely hit it off from the start!

Adoption Day 11/05/05: Mom Tina, Me, Dad Tim

"I found my forever home with the King family in Rushville, NY. I am the only fur kid, but I have three adult sisters who are already spoiling me. Dad Tim will take me for lots of walks and my Mom will be home most days with me! My foster family misses me very much, but they are happy for me."

**Smoky**

"Going Home"

Spooky has been officially registered as Smoky. I can't believe it has been a week since we picked him up. What a wonderful pet he is turning out to be. He is happy, eating very well, and weighs 72 lbs. They weighed him when we took him to Macedon for his identification chip. He is settling in beautifully, and we have no concerns about him at all. Just a normal happy GSD. My husband and I think he might be a lot younger then suggested. He acts so much like a puppy when he plays with other dogs. I have an appointment with our vet. on Tuesday, and will get his opinion . I could go on telling you about all the things he does, but I think you get the picture. He is very much at home!!!

Annie

Here is Annie with her very proud and happy new family. The best Christmas present Annie could ever get!!

** Hannah **

Hannah

When Hannah came to us at 2 yrs. old, we had Shadow, our 12 year old Lab mix who we thought would be departing shortly. She brought out the puppy in him and we enjoyed 2 1/2 more years with him. Hannah was very shy and skittish at first (she was captured running loose in Central NY, was afraid of loud noises, chairs, brooms and hid under our desk a lot). Her foster mom Susan started her on the right track with lots of love, and we kept it up when we adopted her 3 years ago. Now she's a very outgoing, calm, lovable girl. She wags all of the time, and likes to just walk up to you while you're sitting down, nuzzle her muzzle in your lap and wag. We had to teach her how to play - and now she lives for playing "apples" which is fetch - an apple from the tree out back was her first ball. While she's still afraid to catch a ball, she will chase it down (or chase the dog who does get it!) and it's hilarious to watch. She is the most graceful, beautiful, dog we've ever had.
After Shadow passed this summer, she became very vocal (I called her Chewbecca - she sounded like Chewbacca!), clingy and a little anxious. So we decided to get her a playmate (it helped us heal, too, who are we kidding). We adopted Ben because we have a softspot for the black labs,
too. She was so gentle with the little guy and protective, too! They wrestle about an hour a day, share the half dozen bones in the living room...and, oh yeah...BOTH share the foot of our bed at night. Thank God it's a king size bed.
At the end of the day she will welcome us home like a cat - winding in and out of our knees - hang on! We've appointed Valentine's Day as her birthday (she stole our hearts!) so she'll be 5 shortly. We're so happy that the new majority of her life has been with us, and she has enjoyed it!

** Blaz **

Blaz
Above is Blaz enroute to his 'Forever home'.

Blaz
Look at Blaz (aka 'Gus' - Glori pup) with his new MOM on 2/5/06.What a sweet picture!

"Blaz is doing fabulous. He survived his 6 1/2 hour> truck ride home. And just loves all the attention of > his new family. The 3 kids adore the puppy and he is so playful and lovable. We are all having a ball! He has had a vet visit and is up to date, his microchip inserted. It went really well. The vet loved him. He is so outgoing and friendly everyone falls in love with him."
Update: 7/2006

Wow, look at Blaz now!
"Blaz has completed his obedience class and now we are working on
reinforcing what we learned. He's doing quite well. Blaz is just the Best and we are all so very happy to have him. Me & the kids love to look on the website and see our success story. Thanks again for everything you all do for these outstanding dogs" -

** Zeta **

Zeta

Zeta is very happy in her new home with her Moms and a little bird brother named "Bennie". She loves car rides (her Moms bought a new vehicle for Zeta and the plates say "Zeta" on them too!), going for daily walks, and playing in her big back yard. She is every bit as elegant and sweet as her name implies!

** Vik **

Vik

This picture was taken just before Vik departed to his 'forever home'. What a lucky boy and a nice family picture! You can see how happy Vik is to be going home!

Mary I can't say enough good thing about Vik, I wouldn't change anything about him!!! Vik is so special. It feels like he has always been with us. Thanks for everything - Teddie Lynn

** Kelsey **

Kelsey

We adopted Kelsey into our Brighton home (NY) in April 2005. She turned a year old in December 2005. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She loves playing with Max, our 3 year old standard poodle. She is very vocal & "talks" to us a lot. She is always wagging (or thumping!) her tail when she sees us. She enjoys chewing her bones & going for walks. Our daughter's, Whitney (11) & Clarissa (5), really adore Kelsey. She's a very sweet girl & we love her dearly! Thanks for posting us to your adopted/happy ending pages!

** Veta **

Veta

Veta's first Christmas (2005)...we rescued her, but who saved who? Veta is the great protector and loving companion for the entire family. Now if she'll just stop chewing on the cats.....

** Tiger **

We adopted Tiger in January of 2006. Tiger has brought so much fun, energy, joy, and love to our home. He has a vivacious personality and you can not help but fall in love with the boy. He loves to spend time taking walks and running around in the park playing soccer (what great coordination he has!!!) and his numerous tennis balls, and play, play, play in the snow! It is not uncommon to find him making snow angels, rolling and prancing around in the snow! We are sure he will be a little sad to see the snow leave, but spring and summer should bring on some more fun activities. He is currently in obedience training and is top dog in class! Thank you to BrightStar for giving us the chance to adopt such a wonderful dog! We will definitely keep everyone updated on Tiger and his funny antics-
Brandon and Jennifer
