According to the U.S. Humane Society, every year between six and eight million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters, and some three to four million of these animals are euthanized because there are not enough homes for them. Of all dogs entering shelters annually, twenty-five percent, or approximately 450,000, are purebred.

Given that German Shepherds are the 4th most popular breed in the US, sadly, this means that many of the dogs in our U.S. shelters every year ARE purebred German Shepherds. AND  thousands every year do not make it out of the shelter alive.

With your help we can make a difference, one dog at a time. As of today, Brightstar has saved 280 dogs that needed us. Thanks to you some of the faces here have a bright future. Sadly... the other souls perished.
